With over 40 years of experience, I have honed the ability to breakdown complex scientific concepts for a variety of learning styles, improve memory skills to retain information for the long term, and to create a fun and dynamic learning experience that will build student confidence in the sciences.
As a passionate educator,
I have spent my entire career helping students with diverse backgrounds gain a deeper understanding of the natural sciences. With a deep love of the sciences myself, I am able to bring a unique energy to my tutoring sessions, employing a wide range of strategies to help students gain access to concepts that may be challenging them in school. I pride myself on creating an environment that allows students to be themselves, to ask questions they might not have felt comfortable asking in other settings, and to trust in their ability to succeed in school.
In a world of instant access to information and on-demand answers, I encourage my students to slow down in order to develop a deep understanding of their subject using higher order thinking – analysis, synthesis, evaluation – a process that I fundamentally believe will lead to mastery, and ultimately to wisdom.
More than anything, I want my students to feel that they are in a learning environment that supports their specific style of learning, and that they leave believing that no knowledge is out of reach.

Newton Gravity Swing.
A cup of orange juice resting in the center of a wooden platform.
Swing it over the top.
Witness centripetal gravitational force.
The cup senses “ground support“ in all positions as long as cord is tight and moving at speed.
Not a drop is spilled.
